Welcome to Keopi! By downloading, installing, or using the Keopi app ("App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About Keopi

Keopi is an AI literacy app that teaches users about artificial intelligence through interactive lessons, exercises, a conversational sandbox, and curated news. The App is designed for users aged 8 and up, with age-appropriate content gating.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 8 years old to use Keopi.
Users under 13 have access to a limited feature set (lessons and exercises only). The AI Sandbox and News features require the teen (13+) or adult (18+) age tier.
If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission to use the App.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

Free tier: Core lessons, daily exercises, and limited features are available at no cost.

Keopi Premium: Unlocks all Deep Dive courses, unlimited AI Sandbox conversations, and additional features.

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store as auto-renewable subscriptions.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
Refunds are handled by Apple per their refund policy.
Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency in the App Store.

4. AI-Generated Content

Keopi uses AI (Anthropic's Claude and Apple's on-device Foundation Models) to generate educational content, including:

Responses in the AI Sandbox
Daily exercise questions
News article summaries and headlines

Important: AI-generated content is for educational purposes only. It may contain inaccuracies. Keopi is not a substitute for professional advice, academic instruction, or factual reference material. Always verify important information from authoritative sources.

5. Acceptable Use

When using Keopi, you agree not to:

Attempt to bypass age-gating or content safety filters
Use the AI Sandbox to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written permission
Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure

We reserve the right to restrict access to the App for violations of these terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Keopi app, its design, content, and branding are owned by Keopi and protected by intellectual property laws.
Lesson content, exercises, and course material are proprietary. You may not reproduce or distribute them.
AI-generated responses in the Sandbox are provided for your personal, educational use.

7. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data. Key points:

Learning data stays on your device
No personal information is collected from children under 13
No third-party analytics or advertising

8. Disclaimers

Keopi is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or current
News articles linked from the App will remain available

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keopi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or update to this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using Keopi at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases, but provisions that by nature should survive (liability, IP, disclaimers) will remain in effect.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
